Lead Pastor/Executive Director
Clementina Chacon-Garcia
Founder & Lead Pastor | Chaplain | Master Facilitator | Hope Dealer
Clementina is the founder and Lead Pastor of Be Well, a trauma-informed, healing-centered new worshiping community serving the Central Bay Area of Northern California. She also serves as a chaplain at the Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall, providing spiritual care, encouragement, and a ministry of presence to justice-involved youth.
Clementina’s commitment to healing is deeply personal. Be Well was born, in part, from her own journey of learning to manage and overcome the effects of trauma experienced within the home and church. Along the way, she discovered the healing power of safe community, spiritual practices, honest conversation, movement, learning, and meaningful connection. That experience shaped a calling: to help create affirming spaces where people can come together, practice wellness, encounter hope, and experience healing.
With more than 20 years of ministry experience, Clementina has served within Pentecostal, Vineyard, Presbyterian (PCUSA), non-denominational, chaplaincy, and parachurch settings. She is a graduate of the Latin American Bible Institute, holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University, and brings together pastoral care, theological formation, organizational leadership, and lived experience in her ministry.
At the heart of Clementina’s work is a simple conviction: people need safe places to be seen, heard, supported, and reminded that healing is possible. Whether facilitating a Be Well gathering, providing spiritual care to a young person, training community leaders, or simply sitting with someone through a difficult season, Clementina considers herself a “hope dealer”—helping people recognize that their story is still being written and that wholeness, purpose, community, and hope remain possible.
Her hope is that Be Well will continue to be one of many places in our communities where people can simply—and courageously, be well.
